Why You Should Clear The Path for Future Generations
Are we clearing a clean path for future generations or are me making it more difficult for them to navigate. I'm not a fan of shoveling snow at all. As a New Yorker, I'm use to the NYC Housing Authority and Sanitation Department taking care of that. As I began to shovel today I wondered how are we setting up our future generations to succeed? Are we taking the time to clear a path, or are we just giving them a shovel and letting them handle and unravel things on their own? Clearing a path, or getting rid of baggage is tough work. Some of us don't even notice that we are walking through it or carrying it around from day to day. Ultimately we have to take the time to ask ourselves if we want those to come after us to live better than we did? Then we must do everything in our power to remove some of the things that do not need to be there. Hurt, disappoint, bad communication, a lack of encouragement and/or broken relationships. The list can go on.When we take the time to clear a path our children, grandchildren and so on will ultimately be placed in positions to be more successful then we were. How are you going to clear a path?
