Your dominate narrative

What is your dominate narrative? What do you think about yourself? Do you tell yourself that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to? Maybe you've been told or society is telling you, you will not complete that which has been placed on your heart. We all have some sort of narrative, whether positive or negative. It's there, it's a story we tell ourselves on a daily basis. In a public speaking course at City College of New York, my professor destroyed one of my speeches. She said she couldn't understand me because I was too nasal-ee. Mind you, I was born and raised in NYC and my class was full of foreign students whose native tongue wasn't english. I never really liked my voice and as a result of this and the critique I told myself that I would never be able to be a public speaker.Despite that, I eventually decided to change the narrative. The narrative change was simple. I wrote out an affirmation that states the following: "I am a great public speaker". Reading this allowed me to kill the other story I created about myself. What are you telling yourself? What changes will you make to your dominate narrative?
