QUESTION OF THE DAY:
How do we teach our six year old son about God without confusing him?
Well, first things first. I’m 39 and at times, I’m still confused about who and what God is. I believe this is a part of the process. The best thing to do is not discourage your child from exploring and asking questions. Also, if your child poses a question that doesn’t have an answer, be honest, let him know that you do not know. As adults, we want to appear all knowing when it comes to God, but we aren’t.
This would also be the perfect opportunity to study together as a family. Setting up study time as family will set up a great opportunity for everyone to be on the same page. It will also show your child that you are serious and dedicated about your relationship with God. This will provide a great foundation for him going forward.
