God Answers the Prayers of Blacks and Gays [Blog]

So prior to the election, tons of people in the African American community were praying online for the re-election of President Barack Obama. My Facebook and Twitter feed were buzzing with prayers for the president. I have to admit I even composed what I think was an elaborate petition to God, explaining that the African American community needed to continue to see a positive black role model in a prominent position of power in order to be motivated to aspire to achieve greatness.

Our prayers were answered as President Barack Obama was re-elected but the prayers of the LGBT community were answered too. Oh yeah marriage equality passed in in the state of Maryland by a slim margin. Can God actually be hearing the prayers of Gay people? Let’s not be naïve and think Christians did not vote yes to Question 6 on the Maryland ballot, black leaders especially. Black preachers, pastors minsters ect,. you have people in your congregation that support marriage equality point blank. So now what?

God has spoken and now that this is over what is the next issue the conservative Christians will address?

November 6, 2012 was not a good day for conservatives at all. It looks like God may be leaning towards progressives.

Romans 13:1-2 states:

1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.

So now what????
