Struggles 1 Can The Bible Help When it’s Time for a Faith Challenge: Why in the world do You have me here this isn’t what I prayed for.

Ok it’s time to be transparent here.  I’m posting religious and spiritual items hoping to be inspirational to someone.  But I can’t put a front on like everything is all hunky dory on my side of town.  I’m learning about the Bible more and more but can it really help you when it is time to put your faith in action?

You see I prayed for a flexible job that would provide overhead just in case projects that I were a part of would lose funding.  The overhead would give me a time to look for a job in an emergency situation.

Guess what?  My project decided to downscale and that leaves me looking for another project.  But what is nerve racking about this is that this is the second time in a year I’m scrambling to find something at the end of the year.

I consider myself to be pretty faithful and I have some good job experience, so finding isn’t the challenge.  The challenge lies here:  It would be way easier to find a job outside of the company as I’m finding where I’m currently doesn’t offer many positions in my line of specialty.  BUT I’M GETTING A FEELING THAT I SHOULD STAY AND IF I LEFT THINGS WOULD BE WORSE.

A feeling.  Not sure if this is God or not but it sure feels like it.  Now there is no set time that I can be on overhead.   Keeping in mind I already ate up 3 months of overhead last year I’m not sure how much time I have to find another project.  But I’m stuck with this feeling to stick it out.

As I begin to ball up my fist at God and tell God, “Why in the world do You have me here this isn’t what I prayed for,” It comes to me FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD (James 2:26).

The key here for me is WORK, meaning that it looks like I have to put this thing I call faith in action and find another project to get on while being faithful that God will provide me with it during the search.

By actively looking and not just sitting on my hands (some refer to it as grinding) I’m putting my faith to action.  Hopefully the next project will be stable, if not I guess I will have to put my faith in action once again.

Great another challenge, but I guess the studying is paying off.

Oh and just to be clear even though a scripture came to me I’m still frustrated, but that won’t stop me from searching.
